On Monday June 4, 2012 I sent out an email broadcast to your in boxes. We've really grown since our official launch on Feb 24, 2012. If you haven't had a chance to read that email I urge you to do so, you might want to check your spam folder and allow this email address. I don't send out a lot of messages, just a few here and there to remind you of important events, opportunities and the occasional housekeeping reminder.

If you didn't get the email, in short I thanked you all for being members because without you we have no community! We grew so fast in May that we now number 637 registered members so I thought a reminder about our posting rules would be a good thing.

i reminded you about the fundraising effort we have happening to help raise money to have the site professionally re-designed. Thanks to your donations we went from needing $800.00 to now only $768. It all adds up folks, you don't have to donate to participate here, but if everyone donated $1 or $2 we would be able to make Hookey something really special! To those who donate any amount you get a copy of my Gratitude Beret pattern, it's unisex to honor that we have male and female members on Hookey.org.

I also included a note about our posting rules. We have very few, I like to keep it all rather simple. That being said, maybe you haven't read them or seen them under the welcome tab. So, just a notice to be clear about how things roll off the hook here.

I truly wish the ONLY topic could be CROCHET. If you limited it to that I think you could grow even faster. As it is the crocheters have to sift thru other's family matters, personal illness; you name it, to get to something pertaining to crochet. I think you have a great idea and a great start. I'm all for supporting your effort and I hope you consider this CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.

There are several places like that, I have a different vision. Thank you for your input, I appreciate your thoughts.

I read your vision and everything else you have written. I have apparently misinterpreted what I read. I sincerely apologize for my suggestion that it should be anything other than what it is now. I feel like an ass and am humbled by the rediciously arrogant nature of my suggestion. I hope there will be no hard feelings.

No, I think you made an important point, I need to make sure my messaging is clearer, obviously it's not. Sorry for the brevity of the earlier message, I was typing on my phone. I do appreciate all comments and thoughts on the matter.
