I have recently received several (ok, 2) complaints that people can’t make one of my patterns. They claim to be a crocheters of 25 years experience, but still can’t make that one... so, i’m to blame – that’s what they think. At the same time I have received many great comments about that same pattern – „it was very understandable, well written and easy to make” etc. And several people are already wearing it.
So – where’s the truth in this whole situation?
I know there will always be someone who doesn’t understand something... so I’m open to help. If you got certain questions – I will be happy to answer them. Not just write me that my pattern s*cks and you’re disappointed.
I really hope I will be able to figure this out together with the customer, before the customer gives negative feedback and spoils my rating.
Oh, we are so different... I’m glad about it, but sometimes it gives me hard times... :)
Well, here's the deal, I crocheted for 25+ years and thought I could tackled Tunisian Entrelac without practicing much... boy was I wrong. I think it depends on what someone has been crocheting. It's like the difference between being able to sew pillow cases and suits, it's sewing sure, but different levels of skill required.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. 25 years of crocheting same old granny squares and 25 years of crocheting crazy difficult garments, for example - isn't the same thing. Sometimes people tend to overvaluate their skills, and guess who they blame for that? Thats right - the designer. hehe. sad but true.
