Newborn Superman Photo Props - WIPS & FINISHES

I've been working on a Superman Set and as you all know..putting off the finishing touches.

I have a thing about crocheting really small things..I don't like to.

I tried to buy the appliques .. they don't make them small enough.

So I tip toed in, and before I knew what I'd done, the emblem was formed and in my hands...and It Was Easy!

I was amazed..surely the next part would be difficult or at least "a pain".

Here's the Set ...

So I made 2 more then, after some more procrastinating, I began adding the border to them. The pattern called for a single crochet..I used a Surface Finishing Stitch instead and I am much happier with it. And it was EASY.

I was certain that the big "S" would be the HARD part. The pattern provided a template to cut out and use..but I didn't. I think it was my way of self-sabotaging the project so I could still be "right" about little things being hard.
Guess what? It was so easy, even I could not sabotage this projects success. I litterally couldn't screw it up! I refused to use the template and simply "free-handed" the S using a surface stitch

...And They Are Perfect!

From start to finish, the part I did not want to do, was EASY.

And now they are ready for their first Dress Rehearsal...

..but they will have to wait and so will I..till July.

This is my Baby Mamma...LOL my Son's Wife, Alysia!

Our little Superman is 23 weeks old this week!
