Don’t Pin Me Bro! The Saga Of Copyright and Pinterest

http://aberrantcrochet.wordpress.com/2012/02/23/dont-pin-me-bro-the...

I thought about recopying the whole article to Hookey, but then decided not to since it's so link heavy for all the research content inherent.  Instead of re-copying the entire text here, I'll refer you to my blog (Aberrant Crochet) where you can read it in it's entirety with all reference links intact.  In it I explain a bit of background about Pinterest, the copyright controversy, links to articles with more information and then discuss my take on the whole thing as a designer myself.  Enjoy!

I'm trying to find a fix so that we can have everyone's RSS of their blog here... sadly it's not enabled for members and I don't see a way to do that after research :(

There's an RSS feed from my wordpress blog in the left sidebar of my profile page.  But you have to look at my profile to see it and it only shows snippets.  You might could tie paperli here.

This is a great post!! I only got into pinterest recently, after the marketing manager for the mall where the salon is was telling me about it. I'm not a very dedicated pinner, I don't have much pinned, but I also can't make myself pin things that I'm not really fired up about and it seems that either a lot of pinners have tonnes of spare time to surf and pin, or they just click on everything they see. BUT....it does seem to have a lot of potential as a social media marketing tool, and I am trying to bring myself into the 21st century to make use of this stuff.

Aww, thanks for the support ladies! The comment discussion on my blog post is getting interesting.  One response indicated I should not mention Etsy and copyright together in the same article.  I thought that was interesting/odd.  And of course, you can't make arbitrary statements like that without me being devil's advocate back, no matter what I ultimately think.
