I love making amigurumi!  It didn't start out that way, though.  I knew what it was, but I didn't think I could make anything so "cutesy."

What did I know?!  I love amigurumi!  I think it's hilarious and ultimately rewarding to take an idea and make it as cute as humanly possible.  I have been doing the craft show circuit for a few years now, and I can attest to the fact that more over-the-top cute the creature, the more people will pick it up and squee over it.  I don't even care if they buy it, I'm just happy that they appreciate the cuteness.

I think that's the essence of amigurumi.  Over-the-top shared appreciation of cuteness.

These mice are one of my first forays into amigurumi, and I adore them.  The picture is also probably the cutest I've ever taken- why are mice just so cute?
