Cropped Jacket

I designed a cropped jacket to match the jumper and hat.  I don't care for it.  Not what I drew on paper.  I thought of cute little puff sleeves. Didn't work out.  I used measurements for a 4 yr old, did a gauge swatch and  got my number of stitches.  There was so much trouble getting this done.  I had to rescue it twice from Koda (st. bernard puppy). First time when he knocked over my ice water and I had water and ice cubes on my notes, table and floor.  Thank God I had my crochet was in a…

Jumper Completed

I finished the jumper.  Decided to put edging only on the bottom.  Made hat to match.  Waited a few days thinking I could find some buttons to match.  Couldn't find any.  My teenage granddaughter and her girlfriend liked it.  We did try it on my three yr old grandson to check size etc.  Looked really cute.  Quickly got it off him before his father saw him with a jumper on.  I am glad I finished it.   Here are some photos.…

Jumper cont'd

Thank you for the advice to finish anyway.  I have the tendency to stop and put things away in a bag if I am not happy with it.  I also took your advice to make notes on what worked, what I…

Hi, I am new to Hookey.  I joined yesterday.  I wanted to write something, anything; but I was very sad and down from my visit with my mom.  Yesterday was her birthday.  She was 85.  My mom didn't know who I was.  She has Alzheimer's. My mom taught me how to crochet.  She was my inspiration.  She guided me on and encouraged me to continue.  I inherited her love of crochet. I have all her crochet books and patterns which I cherish.  I wish she didn't have Alzheimers so I could share crochet…
