Thanks to Furls Crochet!

If you haven't met Harrison of Furls Crochet, you should!  Harrison is a super huge fan of crochet and the hands that hold the hooks. So much so that he designed crochet hooks so beautiful and comfortable to use they are out of this world!  Beyond his passion for keeping our hands healthy and holding onto works of art, he believes that we who crochet deserve more and better treatment in the world.

That's why Hookey.org members are getting special treatment from Furls, that's…

In ONE word describe crochet. Leave it in the comments…

Just Curious... Which brands have you used?

Hey crochet friends! We always hear that crocheters don't use anything other than cheapo acrylic (which is ideal for some projects and sometimes its all a budget will allow), but I know this just isn't true. But I am curious about what yarns we do use, I made a list of some of the yarn available to me locally, you may never have had a chance to use these brands.

Check out the poll, if you have used them please consider filling out the poll.

Thank you for feeding the curiosity…

AAAArgh!

I have pretty yarn and I don't know what to do with it!

The yarn : Ito Gima 8.5, a pretty cotton laceweight tape, in a rich  purple, and some off-white too. I know what I want to do with it : a summer top with a square neckline with a bit of off-white lace on it. The only thing is, I'd want to show off the tape texture. This is shaping up and I get to be me...

Wow! I'm actually super glad that the social side of CLF 3.0 didn't work on our website! I love this platform, I don't have to code anything, I can just be a crocheter here!

I am so blessed that the CLF 3.0 experience is shaping up as I envisioned and dreamed. I guess I'll always be Fearless Leader over on the Crochet Liberation Front website, it's a moniker that works for me there. But, here on this site, I want to be me, Laurie A. Wheeler.

Who is this Laurie A.…
