I have been participating in local arts & crafts events for a few years now, and even been a featured artist in the past. Yesterday, I was at a craft store buying yarn and wandered over to the jewelry aisle to look at beads, and came upon someone I know from a past job. She asked me why I had so much yarn, and I explained to her that I was getting ready for a craft show.
She replied "You have a spot in a craft show? It's cute that they let crocheters participate. I guess it's…Continue
So...I was offered a giant opportunity in conjunction with a local craft event, basically an art show that also advertises the craft fair, and I'm suddenly thrown into writing a proposal for an art installation. What did I know?! I love amigurumi! I think it's hilarious and ultimately rewarding to take an idea and make it as cute as humanly possible. I have been doing the craft show circuit for a few years now, and I can attest to the fact that more over-the-top cute the creature, the more people will pick it up and squee over it. I don't even care if…Continue
