Irene, please drop me a private message with an address to send a scrumble piece or two. Here in Lynnwood, I will start a freeform on Tuesday at my stitch group and post to see if anyone would like to meet and trade pieces or add to it. I'm thinking the statue of the kids in the boat by the Edmonds Ferry Terminal. The flag should wave. :-)

Regarding the collaborative project, would it be an idea to contribute to this, maybe? http://crochetcoralreef.org/makeyourown/satellite.php

Erica, this is actually a massive operation that needs a lot of funding as The Wertheims own the copyright on this. I am involved with The Irish Satellite Reef (http://crochetcoralreef.org/satellite/ireland.php) and there are very strict rules and regulations to follow. It is the most mind blowing beautiful project and it's completely outside the box stuff, but very hard to pull off.
Obviously, I do not want to put anybody off making a crochet coral reef happen anywhere as it is probably one of my most fantastic, life altering experiences to be part off, but be warned. It's a lot of work. It is also completely mind blowing.

Hmm yeah, point taken. I'm too much the newbie to know all the ins and outs of stuff that's already ongoing, I just thought it looked really really cool! If there's a million rules to follow, it probably isn't something that could feasibly be contributed to by a big bunch of folks who don't know said rules, though. Still something that's really interesting, though!

Erica, it's the coolest project and great fun to be part of, but Satellite Reefs for the project are generally made when the International Exhibition comes to a city or country. Anyway, I would never ever discourage anybody to make it happen in their area. Ever. It's a mind-blowingly beautiful exhibition and celebration of crochet, geometry and not least art, women's handy-craft and the environment. Mind-blowing!!!

I have now started my InterNatCroMo project for real. So far there is a head and chest...
Ooooh!

Any piccies?

Just popping in to share my InterNatCroMo projects: blog tour specifically for crochet bloggers - those in my blog roll and I'm hosting a granny square exchange.
