I don't think I have a favorite but if weird, unusual, and eye catching counts as a type then that is what I would pick for myself. What catches your eye or stirs creativeness for your hats ?

character hats! I love making them....

With hats, it depends on whom it's for.
Most of the time for babies, I made beanies with or without ear flaps.
For adults, I usually will make a hat that can be turned up or down for added warmth.
As far as pattern goes, it's just the standard start and increase. Once that part is done, I usually pick a stitch pattern I like and go at it.

Wow! That is awesome! LOL :)
Love it!!
Hope you find the safe hidey spot soon :P
Oh I found it! I was cleaning out a closet :D Now it's properly put away on the top of my dresser where I can find it :D

Good!! :)
divine hat has to be my top favorite. No idea how many I've made. Into making beanies/chemo hats in memory of a friend who just last week lost her battle to cancer/.

Sorry about your friend. I do agree that the divine hat is a favorite. Don't forget you can post pictures :) Would love to see what you have made.

My favorite type of hat to wear as well as to make is a felted bowler and all its variations. I've recently incorporated needle felting and that turned out so well that I think I need to do some more!

I love making beanies. Every male member of my family gets a new one every year for Christmas. I recently found a "butterfly" beanie hat patterns so this year the girls won't be left out.

Welcome, it's a pleasure to have you join us. Now that sounds like a great idea, a new beanie every year and yes I have made quite a few of the butterfly hats the ladies, no matter what age, love them.
