Hi Everyone!

If you have ever wanted to make money while crocheting, this is for you!

I am looking for several more contract crocheters. I am  looking for experienced crocheters to create finished designs from my original patterns.    I'll provide you with the pattern, yarn and instructions.   I'll pay you for shipping if you aren't local.

I expect a lot so here goes!

  • Communication – This is my number one!! Problems and stitching issues are avoided if the contractor contacts Karen when there are unclear instructions or pattern information.
  • Perfect Stitching and Perfect Direction Following – Items you create will show up in print, not only in magazines, but also in books, in booths, and in fashion show runways at major events all over the country.  Any imperfection in your work will show up, most especially in photos.
  • Secrecy – You will be contractually obligated to keep the design a secret until it has been published.
  • Exceptional Time Management Skills – Many times deadlines will be tight.  You will be expected to ship items on time so that I can meet our deadlines
  • A current W-9 on file – You will be considered a 1099 contractor, so we will not be taking out taxes.  If we have paid you more than $600 in the current fiscal year, we will send you a 1099-MISC form for your taxes.  Therefore we will need the W-9 on file.

What perks you will receive from me:

  • Payment – You will be paid based on a percentage of my negotiated fee from the publisher. Usually withing 30-45 days of acceptance by the publisher.
  • Experience – If you have never been a contractor before, you can gain some experience this way.  You may also find work from other professionals in the industry.
  • Gratis copy of any pattern you crocheted in my indie line - This also includes credit in the pattern that you have made the model.

Now that you are interested, what you need to do:

Contact Karen at info@krwknitwear.com.  Be sure to include information about yourself including,

  • name
  • experience
  • pictures of items you have crocheted (ravelry links are fine if the pictures are clear)
  • if you have been a contractor for someone else please give references
  • if you have a specialty
  • if you smoke or have pets
  • if you are a lefty

I will contact you once you I have looked over you info, and at that point will send more information about working for me and an audition.

I hope there are a lot of you out there interested!

Oh and if you knit, I need knitters too! :)

If you are still looking, please see my blog, Boocoos Blogthingy at http://boocoos.blogspot.com. I'm right handed, do not smoke or have pets or young children. I've taught crochet for years, and still learn something new on a regular basis. I have done guest posts for other blogs like Petals to Picots. I would have to say my speciality is free form because I love teaching "sculpting" the most. My second interest is crocheting with unusual "fibers" like audio and video tape, and I like the recycling aspect of those things.
If you have everyone you need, you should post that your request has been filled, so people like me don't keep bothering you.
I'd like to do this.
Boo

Please see my note below.

I am very interested in this contract work. I have been crocheting about a year now, and had a facebook page about 6 months or so. I have never been a contractor for someone, but I am more than willing to learn how to do it in this capacity. I do have a dog, but she is not around the crocheting (she is outside most of the time), and I am right handed. I love crocheting hats, more specifically, baby ones!

Please contact me if you need any additional information! My personal email is kristen10_22@yahoo.com The most recent hat I've done!
